OCR Layer broken

I'm working with Usor:Inductiveload (en:User:Inductiveload) to get a new OCR on these scans, they came with an OCR layer but they were two pages on one scan, splitting them resulted in losing the layer. The layer hadn't been very good and we are hoping to train tesseract to obtain a better layer.
