Ioseph Eberle
[recensere]Hi Timotheus! Thank you for your precious contributions on Wikisource; every help to the project is really appreciated, but unfortunately we cannot accept texts protected by copyright under US/EU laws, meaning we can only publish texts written by authors dead at least 90 years ago (you can find here and useful summary). If the author Iosephus Eberle is actually de:Josef Eberle, I fear we must delete his poems, since he died in 1986, well under the prescribed 90 years... I am really sorry, but those are unavoidable rules. I nonetheless thank you for your work, and personally hope you will continue contributing on the project on other, public domain works. I will wait some time for your answer before proceeding with the deletion; vale, --Barbaking (disputatio) 07:32, 13 Aprilis 2022 (UTC)
- I did know that date of decease rule, but I found on vicifons other latin poems by Franciscus Aloise, which also died less than 90 years ago. Since these poems were available on vicifons and not deleted, and published in the same 'Viva Camena' book than the Eberle's ones I added, I thought there was some kind of exception.
- If you are right, there are probably a few other vicifons' authors to remove. Timotheus Maria Ioseph (disputatio) 07:41, 13 Aprilis 2022 (UTC)
- About Aloise, it has been discussed here and, for the same reasons, in the end there was a consensus for the deletion (I was waiting for the discussion to end, and then I forgot about it, sorry!) so I'm going to delete it as well. If you have news of other copyrighted works, please let's discuss it here or in the [[Deletiones_Propositae, they should very probably be deleted as well... --Barbaking (disputatio) 08:15, 13 Aprilis 2022 (UTC)
- Is there a different rule about translations (especially translations from other languages to latin)? I noticed there were latin translations of works younger than 90 years (but it wasn't the author's text, only a translation, and the latin translator was okay to not claim anything). They didn't seem forbidden. Timotheus Maria Ioseph (disputatio) 13:35, 14 Aprilis 2022 (UTC)
